Aged and Children Pastoralists Association (ACPA) is a local organization established in 2008 by a group of pastoral intellectuals and registered with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia with Reg. No: 0358. It aims to support all marginalized pastoralists and mainly “Ageing and Children” to improve their economic growth potentiality to overcome livelihood demands. Among the thematic areas of ACPA includes WASH, livelihood, education, and emergency interventions. Presently ACPA operates in Siti, Fafan and Dollo zones of Somali Region of Ethiopia; it has over 50 employees both in the field offices as well in head office.

The program interventions of AISDA are enhancing sustainable development, conservation of natural resources, livestock development and development of grazing lands, income generation, capacity building, water development, formal and non-formal education, human health (giving special attention to the promotion of maternal and child health), preventing HIV/AIDS, Harmful Traditional Practices, animal health, emergency relief and disaster preparedness and response.
